regrets, i've had a few
so i've been thinking a lot lately.

that time at the college... nope...

those countless times in the car... nope...

the party? you guessed it... NOPE

i know i've always said i don't regret anything i've done in my life, but i think i found one.
--------------------------------------------
it's time to call my dad. it's his birthday today
--------------------------------------------
beauty and the beast is such a great movie
--------------------------------------------
i need a day off

that is all...

missing you

and all of you too

I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours....

It's the breaking of the quiet factor, isn't it? I sometimes regret that, and how we had to turn poor Boo over to the police. Ah well, he was asking for it.
But seriously, I try not and regret what I've done in the past. There's times when that's hard to do, or I question why I've done it, but I feel everything happens for a reason. But that's just me.
Miss you lots. LOTS! Like Big Lots, only we don't sell yard gnomes.

the quiet factor is amazingly not one of my regrets. but Mr. Othis deserved everything he had coming.

i don't regret anything i've done in my life actually. i regret more things i didn't do. but as you said, everything happens for a reason, and maybe, just maybe... in time it'll work.

i miss you painfully, and when i get back, we can go on a gnome hunt. ohh the fun will never end!

I did not know you either online or offline until a friend told me of your death, and I read your most recent public posts. Even so, I'm very sad and angry that you were killed, so young, with so much left to say and do. At least you spoke of only one regret before dying. And I do hope you were able to wish your father a happy birthday. For you and yours, I have endless tears.

He is five foot two,
and he's six feet four,
he fights with missiles and with spears,
he is all of thirty-one,
and he's only a seventeen,
He's been a soldier for a thousand years.

War is the most horrible thing.
Since when did human life become a plaything for the powers of this world?

Rich man's war, Poor man's blood.

I didn't know Mike, a friend of mine did, and to hear of another death of a good man is heartbreaking.
I'm sorry to anyone who knew this man.

I am so upset to hear of your passing. It seems so much more personal to me because you have left a piece of yourself for all of us to remember, even those who did not know you.

I am sorry you died with regrets. I hate that you died without being able to tell those you loved goodbye.

Rest in peace, brother - you served your country in life, the rest is yours.

So well put, as have many others on this site. I keep coming back to this site after having followed a news link covering Mike's postings and how his family wants to own/preserve these. It is so moving, sad and beautiful all at the same time. One or two creeps who have been desecrating this site by trying to debate the merits of the war in repeated postings have been fittingly answered by an overwhelming number of others with more sense and decency.

Mike was a remarkable young man, sensitive and decent. His family deserves so much credit for bringing him up as they did. Hope time is helping them (including his wife) cope with their loss. They should always be proud of him even as he has been immortalized. As should we all, whether or not we were for the Iraq war. Mike did all that his duty required him to do with honor, and at the same time touched us who never knew him in real life with his beauty in his postings.
